Blowout: Another dominant performance by the Paris Musketeers

The ParisMusketeers continue their winning ways, extending their winning streak to threegames with a 62-0 road victory over the Cologne Centurions. It was theMusketeers second shutout of the season. The win also gave Paris their thirddivision win in four division games.

QB JaylonHenderson completed 16 of 21 passes for 156 yards with 4 touchdowns. He alsoran the ball 6 times for 53 yards and a score. WR Austin Mitchell lead his teamwith 8 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. RB Nicolas Khandar had 12 rushes for131 yards. He scored on the ground and with a catch as well.

TheMusketeers defense allowed -8 total yards in the first half and finished thegame with 18 (!) total yards. The defense had as many sacks as it allowed firstdowns (5).

The gamestarted with a Musketeers punt, but Cologne fumbled on the return and DB JordyAdjetey recovered the ball at the opposing 20-yard line. The following driveended with a 6-yard scoring run by Henderson. K Mathys Dupont kicked the PAT tomake it 7-0 with 12:02 minutes left in the first quarter.

After a Colognethree and out the Musketeers marched 46 yards in 5 plays, finishing their thirdpossession with an 18-yard touchdown pass from Henderson to WR AnthonyMahoungou. The extra point gave Paris a 14-0 lead with 7:48 left in the firstquarter.

Afteranother Centurions punt the offense marched almost 80 yards to score theirthird touchdown of the game. This time Henderson found Khandar on a screen witha 23-yard scoring strike. The PAT gave Paris a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Late in thefirst half the Musketeers found the endzone once again. After Henderson andMitchell connected for 30 yards, the duo finished the drive with an 8-yardtouchdown pass with 68 seconds remaining in the half. Paris was up 28-0.

AfterCologne started the third quarter with yet another punt, Paris struck for thefifth time this afternoon as Henderson threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to WR HugoTekedam with 9:50 minutes left in the quarter.

Whiledefense continued to dominate, the offense scored at will. The next Musketeersdrive ended with a phenomenal 49-yard touchdown run by Khandar. After another DupontPAT Paris was up 41-0 with 5:35 minutes left in the third quarter.

Paris thentook most of their starters out, but continued to be in charge of the game. WR HugoTekedam came in at quarterback and threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to WR CheikhouSow. Later RB Jean-Charles Moukouri scored on a 28-yard run. Tekedam addedanother touchdown pass to Sow late in the fourth quarter, this time for 30yards. The final chapter of this lopsided affair was a fumble recovery by DB MaericAchiepi.

Next Sundaythe Musketeers travel to Switzerland to face the Helvetic Mercenaries. Kickoffin Wil is on Sunday, July 6 at 4:25 pm CET.
